Leadership is not just about managing tasks and driving results; it’s also about self-awareness, emotional intelligence, personal growth and well-being. Issues such as difficulties in anticipation, communication, decision-making, or managing stress, can directly impact a leader’s ability to effectively guide their team and navigate complex situations. These challenges often create barriers that hinder operational efficiency, leading to a cycle of unresolved problems that can escalate over time.

As a leadership coach I provide an objective perspective, helping leaders identify and address the root causes of both personal and operational challenges while avoiding potentially serious missteps by leaning on my wealth of experience. By focusing on personal growth and the elimination of blind-spots, I help develop the resilience, clarity, and confidence needed to tackle leadership issues head-on. In essence, I help bridges the gap between personal development and operational success, enabling emerging leaders to unlock their full potential.

About Bill

Bill is an experienced business leader recognized for improvements to quality, reliability, customer experience, and corporate value. He created a culture of operational efficiency and customer loyalty by focusing on precise execution and mission critical metrics. Bill attributes much of his success to having had an amazing coach and mentor. Now wanting to give back, he finds reward in helping others attain similar success. Bill has helped hundreds of managers raise their leadership Intelligence, learn to deploy high performing teams, deliver results that exceed expectations, increase their own visibility, improve work-life balance, and change the trajectory of their lives and careers.

Starting on the ground floor at SunGard Data Systems, Bill rose to lead the very business unit where he began. He played a key role in the company's growth into a $5B Fortune 500 enterprise and advanced from his first supervisory role to become a business unit President in just 10 years. In this role, Bill had to make bold, aggressive changes in direction. These changes significantly impacted his teams—previous strategies were overturned, goals shifted, and expectations reversed. On top of this, offshoring, financial constraints, and layoffs led to widespread dissatisfaction and disengagement among employees. Managers were disheartened, overwhelmed by constant interruptions and the problems arising from rapid change, while dealing with frustrated customers and employees.

But management problems have solutions, sometimes difficult but necessary. As a leader Bill understood he had to put his organization in a position to succeed, regardless of the circumstances. And he quickly realized that leadership excellence, from top to bottom, was the only path. When SunGard was eventually purchased, Bill’s business enjoyed very positive employee engagement scores and extremely low attrition rates. Customers were happy, self-inflicted wounds were reduced to near zero, productivity was up, and costs were down. This was directly related to a fantastic management team that had honed their skills working with Bill.

Shortly after the purchase, Bill needed to become a full-time caregiver to his wife, who was then fighting cancer. After she lost the six year battle, Bill felt the call to share his passion for leadership excellence as a coach and mentor. Bill’s coaching experience isn’t limited to business, he also coached competitive youth athletics for 12 years. He enjoys cooking and is an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Bill has also created high quality replicas of military vehicles, several located in the Army museum at Fort Stewart, GA.
